Kenneth is a Partner at Ortus Africa Capital, he is a dual civil engineering/infrastructure and finance/investment professional with over 17 years extensive experience in the delivery of infrastructure/real estate projects and has conducted similar engagements for both public and private sector clients. He also has experience providing corporate finance advisory and management consultancy services for clients including development of strategies and business plans, design and implementation of business/operating models, leading on valuations, M&A and capital raising transactions. His experience is across different sectors including Energy & Resources, Infrastructure & Construction, Financial Services, TMT & IP and Public Sector.
Kenneth provides programme management, transaction advisory and project execution services for Lenders, Governments and Investors in infrastructure projects across different geographies and industries as part of the project preparation and financing process for various infrastructure types. This covers financial and investment structuring, economic/financial analysis and modelling, programme management and advisory, preparing feasibility studies, undertaking due diligence, preparation of transaction materials, developing contract documentation and gaining successful financial close and post financial close implementation.
He is experienced in managing and leading front end project structuring and delivery teams right from feasibility/viability stage through to procurement, financial close and post financial close support. This requires close and continuous engagement and management of various types of stakeholders across government, development financing institutions, private sector and regulators. He provides added value through the infrastructure delivery value chain by linking the technical, financial and legal work streams.
Kenneth has experience in building capacity across institutions for infrastructure project preparation and financing including viability assessments, delivery of projects to financial close and post financial close implementation especially in line with the relevant policy, legal, institutional and regulatory environment. His experience also includes pre-investment risk appraisal and post investment portfolio monitoring to maintain an overall risk profile and maximise investment returns. Kenneth has facilitated both private and public sector investment into infrastructure and undertaken lead roles delivering major infrastructure projects including planning, project coordination and management, design, contract administration and technical audits.
